Since the economy is so bad, I thought I would try to work part time as a greeter for Silverleaf, wherein I would try to get people to sign up to "win a to Las Vegas" in exchange for listening to a promo on their Timeshares. It sounded like a nice b/s job yakking with people.

After having me complete an application, get drug testing, listen to a sales lecture and watch a DVD on sexual harassment, which took several days, and a lot of my time, they then proceeded to give me the runaround. They could tell I was smart as I asked questions about the time shares which they refused to answer. In addition, the employees are mostly teenagers or in their 20s. I am more seasoned so I think they didn't want to bother with me.

They would not schedule me for work, would not respond to my phone calls or emails requesting hours to work. Then I got to thinking how sorry I feel for people who actually put money down to purchase a timeshare. I cannot even get straight answers as an employee. Imagine if I were a purchaser?

Ironically they sell timeshares, but they have no problem taking the individuals' time. Maybe they should call it Time Wasters.

Monetary Loss: $1000.

Seeing the comments on this page that i assume are from silverleaf, are a true testimony of how immatue and regardless these guys are towards the integrity of business. I really doubt these guys are making six figure incomes due to the fact that a timeshare is probably keeping the light on, needess to say all the other employees that actually provide a service have to be paid such as the grounds keeper, cleaning service, cooks, and so on.

To add one other thing when an applicant submits a app, theres is a disclaimer that the bbb states that no information will be discussed to anyone for anything to a third party.

So if your not into lawsuits then i suggest you hold a higher standard for your company and keep everything you do professional. As i was a person that was about to buy a timeshare and doing my research from this company, i retract any business that i would of performed due to a bunch of immature kids that make "six figures."

LOL! I highly doubt any youngsters are making 6 figures.

And I wouldn't buy one from some young punk. My mother in law worked for a timeshare company and so I know what it's like and what people earn.

And that was doing a good economy! No one is buying a timeshare in this s_hit economy.

You are totally inaccurate in your description of the hiring process or the people that work for Silverleaf. I can tell you were not qualified to be productive in this business by your misleading description.
