It wasn't bad but as it was stated the people whom let everyone in neighborhood use took away the endless escape for the rest of us. I been with SIlverleaf almost 22 years when I bought in.

And upgraded 3 times.

I will not upgrade with Holiday Inn and if I need to go on vaca 25 a weeknight and 75 a weeknight is still cheap. But still very disappointed.

We have been scammed by Silverleaf Resorts as well. We purchased one of the sampler vacations. We've requested a refund. All they have been telling us is that they will honor the week vacation that we have paid for. I called their Corporate office today. At 5:03 I...

Timeshare Advocacy International is the leader in timeshare contract resolutions!

If you have been a victim of deceptive sales practices during your purchase or upgrade of your timeshare we have the solution. We are the only advocacy group in the U.S. that focuses on deceptive sales practices within the timeshare industry that is accredited with the BBB .

Additionally, we are the only company to win in court against the biggest timeshare company in the U.S.

Timeshare Advocacy International Wins Lawsuit against World’s Largest Resort.

In November of 2010 TAI was sued by the largest timeshare developer in the world for assisting timeshare owners out of their contracts with their resort. The charges ranged from violating the Tennessee Uniformed Secrets Act, Tennessee Consumer Rights Act, unauthorized practice of law, intentional interference with business relationships, civil conspiracy, breach of contract, unfair competition, procurement of breach of contract, and unjust enrichment. On July 19, 2012 it took a jury less than 45 minutes to deliberate and return a verdict of “Not Guilty” on all charges.

“We are excited to finally have this decision behind us so we can now focus on one thing, and that is our clients. During the last 2 years they have been trying to do one thing and that is to shut us up and bankrupt us through the court system. We always felt that at the end of the day a jury would see that TAI is in the business to help people. If the timeshare industry would stop lying and sell their product honestly we would be out of business,” said Sean Austin.

“The jury’s verdict represents a victory for free speech and free enterprise, and against corporate bullying,” said Austin’s attorney, Greg Oakley of DHPM PC in a press release.

Timeshare Advocacy International is headquartered in Mount Juliet, TN and currently has a staff of 19 that do nothing but consult, coach, and mentor timeshare owners who have been deceived during their purchase or upgrade of their timeshares. “We specialize in helping timeshare owners not only get out of their timeshare contracts if they were lied to, but we also help them understand what happened and how they were scammed so this hopefully will not happen again!

Silverleaf Resorts in Beaumont, Texas - Potential Buyers Of

Silverleaf Resorts do not want to be referred to as a "timeshare company" but that's exactly what they are. I agree with all the complaints I've read. My husband and I have many, one being that you can't ever seem to get the "bonus time" that helps lure you into buying. We too have purchased from them in years past and have regretted it ever since. Forget about selling it. You might even have trouble giving it away. Something I haven't seen mentioned is the "monthly dues" a buyer has to pay. The fees keep going up, there's nothing you can do about it, and they are for ever. We would consider losing all the money we have invested in "Silverleaf" over the years and just let it go back to them, but of course we don't want to ruin our good credit.

I was lured to Silverleaf Resorts by a letter I received in the mail saying I was a big winner of a Cruise, and if I replied, I was also guaranteed one of four prizes: a car, a shopping spree, lots of money, or a 7 day vacation. I figured it was a scam, but curiosity...

We did the same at the same place. The contract basically only works towards their advantage, and they were going to get us for a little over $14K!

We cancelled immediately after doing proper research. Oh well, it was a good learning experience, and I actually thanked them for their involvement in our crash course in the timeshare industry when cancelling the contract. It was good to go through their whole process, just to see how the whole process works. Now we know, and we will probably toy with salespeople in the future if we check out another timeshare, just for fun.

We never make impulse purchases like that. Anybody facing this situation, remember this - if it seems like it is too good to be true, it is! Nothing is for free, and commissioned salespeople don't give a *** about you, only their commission.

That is their job, and they are good at it since they do it every day.

I went there on Thursday because after entering a contest for a :x brand new car at the Austin auto show they told me I won a free trip and had a great chance of also winning 49,000 or a new CAR, anouthrr trip, various other things..

All of this was not worth the 90plus miin.

High pressure sales pitch by not just one but two rude people and they mocked me as well.

Just incredably unprofessional.... a waste of gas and patience.
