Should of known not to go ..
So I went to the " 90 " presentation at Silverleaf resort by Tyler tx to see if it was legit and all I have to say is what a huge headache I got from it. When I got there the front desk lady was rude ,waited 30 minutes for a sales lady to come get me to show me around the so called resort " which personally the most amazing view were all the trees surrounding the place". We sat in another building where there were I'm guessing other winners "40 + people" loud and very awkward, so the lady asked question after question and finally took us around to the tour after 20 min or so took us back to the crowded building and that's where the offers and numbers and comfortable prices got shoved in. Best thing is just say no like 20 times so a manager and her manager come out and get aggravated and you'll be sent out finally to claim your "prize". For sure you get a 50 dollar card to spend at restaurant it lists but really the cars they say you can we in and the big chunk of money is determined by a scratch off , don't see big chance of that happening , better chances with lottery scratch off! But overall it sucked!! Don't go and save that gas money on something productive and important ..

*** Salesman Tried to Lure Us at Strawberry Fest in Illinois
On 6/22/14 I had one of the most bizarre experiences of my life. My boyfriend and I were at the popular Strawberry Festival in Long Grove, IL. We were walking by all these kisoks and I spotted this company's kiosk which had flyers that said we could win a free trip to Vegas! I went up to the salesman, am orange-haired man in his 30's, and asked if I could fill out the form to win a free Vegas trip. He proceeded to tell me that all I had to do was fill out the contest form, so I did. He then proceeded to tell me I had to fill out a second form with more personal information to automatically win the trip to Vegas. I started to fill out the forms for myself and my boyfriend, but as I was filling them out, the salesman said we both had to give him $20 each and we would be reimbursed DOUBLE the amount after we went to the program they were hosting to buy a timeshare, and THEN we would get the free trip to Vegas. My boyfriend told him we didn't have any money on us, and the salesman aggressively offered TO WALK WITH US TO OUR CAR and get OUR MONEY WITH US. That was when I got really creeped out, and I told him that we would need to review the company and think about our decision. And then the salesman proceeded to get very ANGRY at us, said we had to pay RIGHT NOW, and then threatened to tear up our applications. He really did dramatically tear up our applications and said we didn't have any chance now to win the trip to Vegas. This whole experience reminded me of that South Park episode where all the kids' parents are tortured for hours and hours at a resort, and the only way out of it is to buy a timeshare. So DON'T fall for this company's lies, and I definitely knew right off the bat if the salesman trying to get us to sign up is that aggressive, we'd probably be tortured for the whole supposed Vegas trip too!

SILVER LEAF THE COMPANY WITH NO HEART
this company should have negative stars for being heartless. i own three vacation weeks with silver leaf. two of the mortgages are paid off. my son had cancer last year. i am very happy that he is now cancer free. i could not work for a good part of last year and this year. i always managed to pay something on the account. last month i paid $600.00 on the account. i am so fed up with silver leaf that i have made arrangements to free up some money to pay off the remainder of the mortgage which should be around 1200.00. i have called three times and keep getting transferred to the operators in the philippians who are very rude and have informed me that i am in "stage 3 foreclosure'. what!!! do me a favor, take me to court! i am taking time out of my day to work this out and they are rude. i called the corporate offices - members services and i explained the entire situation, without raising my voice and the guy hung up on me. i hope that conversation was taped. on another note : the salesman will tell you whatever they have to to close the deal and when it comes time to come through on their end, everyone points the finger at someone else. don't do business with this company. it's bad karma.

They lost my info and refuse to return my money.
Paid the $20 "reservation fee" to sit there for the 90 mins to say NO to everything out of their mouths. I've done this before and ALWAYS got the free trips and everything promised, but not from these scammers. They lost my name and two months later I am still waiting for my $20, the trip voucher and the White Sox tickets they promised. I've done a lot of these silly time share plays and musicals but this is the ONLY dishonest one I have come across in 30 years of listening to the ridiculous speeches. Called and emailed numerous times and they still have not and will not respond.

They scammed me and my husband!
I was at a fair and they stopped me and said that I won all these trips. They guaranteed a 3 day 2 nights get a way to great escape. All I would have to do according to the guy was visit their resort and fill out a survey about how the resort could be better. This was a LIE! I paid a $20.00 deposit to hold our "spot". A few days before our appointment I researched them and found out that this whole idea about the trips was a scam. They want to lure people into their facility to try and sell them timeshares. Apparently, they do not give up and become very nasty when you decline their offer. I tried to cancel our appointment because they omitted the fact that they would be trying to sell us stuff the whole time. They told me that we couldn't get it back unless we go there. When I first signed up they told us that we can cancel anytime and get our deposit back...Again this was a LIE. They did not give us our deposit back and said that the only way to get it back would be to go there and sit through their presentation. There is no way in *** I am stepping foot in that place! Beware and stay away from these people they will say and do anything to lure you into their resort!! Apparently they honor the trips, but with many stipulations that make it impossible for you to actually take it. Thank god we did not go! I only lost the $20 dollar deposit.

Silverleaf has a marketing company to reel in potential victims. My fiancee and I met this scamming company at the Hartford Connecticut Convention Center for a Bridal Show. The marketing representative explained that we could either win a prize or sign up for one.So we signed up for the cruise for $99.00 which she wrote " 1 yr. to cancel 100% refund. cruise for two 4/3 nights airfare included". We booked an appt. and the Silverleaf paid for a hotel in Pittsfield, MA at The Crowne Plaza 20 minutes away from the resort in Lee, Massachusetts for 2 nights and 3 days. So we stayed to do the presentation so that we would not break the contract agreement which was suppose to be for "90 minutes" and ended up being 3 hours! My fiance was dealing with an incompetent sales rep. who couldn't even tell the definition of equity in today's market. After much embarrassment to the rep. he replied saying " do you see where my conundrum is?"
Anyhow, after the first representative he got a second guy to try and sell us this bogus resort deals that we would never use for a variety of reasons. The second rep. was extremely upset we didn't buy into the deal which he lowered from $15,500 to $10,000. My fiance told the man "your wasting your time".
In the end we left with (2) $40.00 Visa Cards that I had been enraged about over the phone before getting to the resort to ensure it was documented in the email which in our mind was our $80 back from the $99 we spent and then we stayed at the hotel for free on SilverLeaf's account or you can look at it as we paid for it ourselves. The last representatives we spoke with at the resort finally gave us a voucher for CHOICE A- Air Hotel Escape Choice B- Fly 2 Cruise Choice C- Vacation Getaway. To no surprise once again the *** is another scam you have to pay $198 for a reservation deposit... then as told by the spirit incentives rep. the fees and taxes are $450.00 and they work between vendors such as Carnival, Norwegian and Royal Caribbean and then you (the customer) are responsible to pay the remainder of the taxes and fees. So, if we decided to go it would be $648.00 for 2 persons which we could have done on our own.
Investment- $99.00
Gain- (2) $40 Visa Cards and a free hotel room at $122.00 per night= $244+ tax
Results: Silverleaf Loss about -$225.00 this time!
I hope other people learn of this company before they earn another dollar from innocent people turning them into victims.

The sales us a hard push but the experience at resorts was great
I have been on both sides. Many go for the free gifts..THEY KNOW THIS THATS WHY THE SALE IS HARD. I'm an ex salesman for silverleaf resorts. And an owner as well. I never used my book on the table because I have real experience at the resorts. Real pictures of my kids playing swimming, catching 1st fish. Most ppl complaining never been to one at all. I love the old bonus time... check on is the easiest anywhere but like I said most don't get past a pair of tickets or red lobster gift card...I was offered a job when I was on a tour there. They are successful because their product works.

Silverleaf is bad news and not worth it.
My wife and I were approached at travel show in Rosemont, Il and were offered a two night stay at Key Lime Cove, then the told me I had to put a $40 deposit for a presentation about their resort. I thought how bad could it be it was only going to be 90 mins. We arrived and had to wait 20 mins for a rep to call us in. It was a kindly old guy who was doing this more to get out of the house more than anything. We were put into a large room with tables for two and loud blairing music (and an ATM in the corner), they even had a mock of the property. I thought this isn't so bad, then the slick *** "manager" began the hard sell. When we told him we weren't interested he throw up his hands and said " there is nothing more I can do for you!". Then a third guy came over started in on numbers and what they can do for us. My mom was watching our two boys and wondering where we are called me. I told the sales guy we need to get going and he said what is your mom going to get "more pissed off". My eyelids were getting heavy and he could tell. Our 90 minute session was over 2 hours, got our Key Lime voucher and got the *** out of there. I felt like I need a shower and had just visited the Glengerry Glenross firm from the movie of the same name. Don't do anything with these people.

Silverleaf Resorts - Running Shoes Review
We were loading up the car and had an infant running around in our unit. So, to get my running shoes away from her I threw them in the closet. I totally forgot to go back for them. I called the resort asking them if they would mail them to me. He immediately said that he needed to see if he had then first. Of course they had them. Jeremy told me they didn't find them, that maybe housekeeping didn't look in that closet. Not sure what's worse...the dishonesty of keeping my 200 dollar running shoes or the disgustiness of turning over a unit without cleaning every inch.

Not a complaint but questions...
I was at a festival and I signed up to win a retreat and I had to spin a wheel. I hit WON and the guys jaw dropped and said I didn't really expect anyone to win. He then told me about how I won 2 resort retreats.... The first one in Texas at the resort of my choice for 3days 2 night with 3 friends. The second was for me and one other person 3 days 2 night at any location in the country on a list they gave me. They said all amenities were included except Booz money and shopping of course as well as any damages. I asked if there was time share involved and he said "well yes we offer time shares but we aren't trying to sell you one. This is promotional blah blah blah and you and your guests will be walking advertisement basically for our resort. We do have you take a 90 minute toor of the resort when you get there." He did say in order to receive the prizes I had to pay a $79 tax for the hotels which is refundable within 30 days if I choose to not accept the prizes. If I make my reservations in 30 days for whatever time I want to go then they'll refund me $40 of that tax in a Visa card. I even called my mother to put the guy on the phone with her cuz she knows a lot about time shares and she seemed to say this seemed legitimate enough and told me to go for it. I don't know.... What do y'all think????

They created contract in 10 min and I'm canceling
Hello, I send in cancelation notice on Saturday having purchased on Sunday. I am hoping to get out. I read the contract, it gives me 6 days. I signed on 2 plus 6 I sent it on 8 th. I bought in for a good deal on vacation and ability to take bonus time. I was mildly excited, but when she said my week was white and showed me the chart of weeks, there was not as much white time as I hoped. I expressed my concern. I think they wanted me to be not satisfied so that I would want to come back and upgrade, and give them more money. From what I gathered on this comment forum is that they do prey on uninformed. I didn't know much about timeshare, I didn't do the research. I wanted a vacation, an escape once in a while, but I do that as frugally as possible. Being alone by myself, time at my home is my vacation, I told them that. Yes they want commission, yes they want to sell and have repeat sales. I wanted bonus time and red week, they sold me white week and told me to try it and see how I like it. Really? If I try it and don't like it? Tough, I bought it. Boyer be ware, don't buy without research. Now what? I hope my cancelation goes trough and they refund me the money. Yea they ran my credit card two seconds after I signed. It is a debit card and they completely depleted it. I had to transfer funds there. It is overpriced for my budget. I liked the concept and of course it sounds great and appealing to many. Few have ability to take advantage of it, and they sell it to all. If few can the rest should, but they can't and are dismayed and frustrated. I just hope my cancelation goes through and I get refund.

What did you need for the 90 minute presentation?
What convinced you to stay after the rude front desk and the 30 minute wait?
