Silverleaf Resorts - Bad Customer Service Review
We visited the Villages Tues night and Wed. We arrived at the Waterpark approximately 12:30. I made it to the window and had to run back to my car to get my member card. Upon returning the young lady at the window said that the computers shut down and there would be about a 15 minute wait. 15 turned to 30 then 45. With about 50 angry, disgruntled,HOT KIDS AND MEMBERS WE DIDN'T EVEN GET AN OFFER FOR WATER. THEY STARTED WE WOULD NEED CASH. WE ONLY HAD CREDIT OR BANK CARD SO MY HUSBAND LEFT TO GO TO AN ATM TO WITHDRAW CASH(3.00) when he returned still to wait they informed us they could take the CARD. Stl no offer to have adrinkor come inside to wait and would not give us a discount at the park. Very poor service in 90+ degree wether! Very UNAUDITED MEMBER. WOULD LIKE SOME KIND OF COMPENSATION for inconvenience! 318-453-****

I was given the wrong reasons
I got a phone call from Silverleaf, on a Saturday, while away from home telling me that the automatic payment didn't go through that month because of insufficient funds. I knew there should have been enough money there to pay a year of upkeep fees, so I started to worry. Two hours later I get another call from Silverleaf, this time a different person with the same story, insufficient funds. What happened to my money at the bank? This was a weekend with no way to check up on it since the banks were closed. And they called us again the following Tuesday with the same story. I had already found out the day before that nothing had happened. It took me four phone calls to he "Corporate Office" to find out that the reason they did not get their money was not insufficient fund but that a month prior they tried to sell us another week and we cancel at the last minute. They don't like to be turned down. The best thing for anyone to do is to not get lured into their trap. Those sales people are very well trained. They could sell sand to a desert dweller.

Double billing for monthly fees
silverleaf resorts over the last two years has deleted my auto pay card number, declined 6 different cards, accepted cards confirmed payments, and now after paying an amount i felt was an overcharge, re-billed that payment amount again. at least this time i have my cancelled check and all the information to pursue my credit. over these last two years, i believe my overcharges amount to over $1000. communication with anyone that will listen and has the authority to rectify their terrible practices is difficult as best, generally impossible, and inevitably fruitless in regards to effective results. as an example, when calling about a double bill, speaking to the accounts payable manager, i was told he did not have the authority to pull a list of my payment history for review. i asked for his manager and his response was "i don't have a manager" i told him unless he is the owner, everyone has a boss. i was persistent and got someone else, but being the phone, i cannot vouch for who actually was on the phone. but i did not get what i needed except a promise to review and correct the service of payments.

Silverleaf Resorts - Supervisor Review from Arlington, Texas
Both supervisors named Will had told us that we can cancel at ANYTIME finds out it is a lie. When you go to address them about it there representative threatens you about your credit score but they tell you that it won't be affected. Or if you talk to Shirley she will just hang up on you and won't answer any questions that you may still have because she says she is repeating herself but she talks while you try to talk. Worse experience and will not give them another dollar. They want to give you 50 dollars to refer a friend but I would rather spend 50 dollars getting people not to sign up with them. Worst corporate office to resolve a problem and try to fix it so they can have a respectable name.

No re-schedule options
We paid 40.00 at Mayfest. We were offered the Great Wolf lodge stay as well as rangers tickets and our 40.00 reimbursed. We had to reschedule. I called the day before when I found out and they said it had to be 24 hours in advance of appointment time. It was 23. They said I could come tour but would not get any prizes. I threw a fit on them and they said they would call me. They called back and unfortunately my husband scheduled when I could not go. I called and they said sorry there is only a 1 time rescheduling policy. They salesperson at Mayfest did not tell us any of this and also when you sign up there is not even a phone number to reschedule. Very unaccommodating. Why would I buy a timeshare with them if they cant even help someone who might be a future customer. Lost my 40.00. Lesson learned.

Silverleaf Resorts - Resort Service Review from Albany, New York
Me and my mom went there cause they said I won a trip. In lee Massaschusetts a guy named Christopher oBrien got nasty with us after we said no to timeshares. I left the resort and forgot my ID the lady at the desk gave me his cellphone number. He gave me the run around and I took 2 weeks to get it back. They are fast talkers and made up that his mom had a disability since I work with people with disabilities. DONT BUY Anything From them. It's a scam

Silverleaf Resorts - Cheaper Payment Review from Chicago, Illinois
Worst experience ever. My husband and I split and I fell upon hard times. They want to work with me to get a cheaper payment, and I got it all worked out with them Wed. Yet here I sit, 8am MEMORIAL WEEKEND and they call to go over all of the same *** I've already gone over. 8 AM on a Saturday on Memorial Weekend after they already got their money, got their information. Wow. I haven't even used this property yet. I've paid on it, but because of their screwed up weeks I can't use mine unless the sun and the moon are aligned with Jupiter while its directly passing mars.

Silverleaf Resorts - Free Trip Review from Houston, Texas
I won a "free trip" to Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, TX. I had to front $40 on the spot but received a $40 gift card in the mail along with instruction to visit their property. There I had to front another $100 to be reimbursed on my trip. We chose 3 travel dates and they said that the only one available was in November. I have checked Great Wolf Lodges website 4 straight days and the July dates are available. They are a rip off. Needless to say thankful for a good job where I can go to Great Wolf Lodge without those idiots.

This is a scam....all they do is lie!!!!
We were approached at a kids expo about their resort in Tyler, TX. Like many others we were told that this was brand new and they were trying to get the word out about it. They offered 3 days and 2 nights at the resort and 4 waterpark passes plus a 3 day 2 night vacation to one of 14 cities just for attending a 90 minute tour. We went ahead and paid the $79 because it sounded like fun. When we booked about 2 months later we were told it would be an additional $40 because it was peak season. We were ok with that we headed to Tyler about 2 weeks later. Lie #1: We arrive at the resort played around on the computer for about 5 minutes she had her manager come over. The manager said only members stay at the resort and they didn't know why we would be told we could stay there. She said they probably booked us at the Sleep Inn and she would check. Our reservation WAS at the Sleep Inn and not there. Soooooo why were we charged for booking during peak time and we didn't even stay at the resort??? From the looks of the resort we were actually better off at the hotel. The Sleep Inn was very nice and clean and even had a complimentary breakfast that was pretty good. The Sleep Inn was in the part of town close to all the cool restaurants and shopping. Lie #2: The 90 minute tour was actually 4+ hours, but I will get back to that. Lie #3: After me reading about 2 hours worth of reviews on here, you will NOT get what you think you will get. All they do is scam you out of money for something you probably won't use. Now to the "90 minute tour" You arrive and wait to be called. We waited for about 30 minutes whereas others said they've waited close to 2 hours. The sales person calls your name and sits down to talk about how and when you travel and how you spend family time. That alone was about 45 minutes. Then your sales person shows you a model of one of the condos that is very nice and then takes you around the resort which takes another 30 minutes. You were probably like us and thought to yourself "This place looks *** Once you get back they tell you the cost which was about $2800 or so down plus $400+ per month for 36 months plus $78 maintenance fees. They tell you all about what you get and how to use the RTI program which allows you to trade your week there for another place practically anywhere in the world for only $209.Once you say "that is more than I want to pay", they thank you and have their manager come and finish up. This took about another 45 minutes or so. This manager offers you a better deal than the sales person so it does sound tempting. When you still say "it is too much" the manager leaves for about 10minutes and comes back with a sparkle in her eye. They come back and tell you someone has just miraculously upgraded to a higher package and they can offer you their old package for what they paid for even less than they quoted you before. You still tell them no and they keep trying. Finally when they are done with you they say a supervisor or someone will get you on your way. You've just spent another hour or so with this person, your tired, hungry and ready to get your prizes and leave. Now the supervisor comes and offers an even better deal, the "sampler" package and this sounds really good and affordable. DO NOT GIVE IN AT THIS POINT, THIS PLACE IS A TOTALLY RIP OFF!!!You finally just get firm and tell them that this place is a dump and you wouldn't bring stray dogs here and finally they back off. This only took about 10 minutes. They take you to another building where you claim your prizes. The trips sound really good especially the ones with free airfare. It's all a bunch of baloney!!!!! After you read the fine print on the brochure they make you pay a deposit, pick 3 different dates, and by the time you jump through a bunch of hoops you just say "forget it". (Note:You don't do any of this until once you get home.) This is a scam and I feel so sorry for these people on here that have their hard earned money tied up in a crock of *** like this. Hopefully if you are reading this you are reading this prior to your "90 minute" tour. NO MATTER WHAT THEY TELL YOU DON'T FALL FOR IT!!!!!!!

Silverleaf Resorts - Refundable Deposit Review from Houston, Texas
I got suckered into this because I really wanted a free 3 days 2 nights trip to San Antonio for my family. The catch was a refundable deposit of $20 if I canceled, so she said. It was too good to be true. With all the bad reviews, I decided to cancel the appointment. They would only refund my money if I went to the resort. I called 3 days ahead to cancel and they said it was too late because they had already purchased the tickets to San Antonio. *** liars. They had the nerve to argue back with me over my $20 deposit. Worst customer service ever! Lesson learned. Nothing is for free. Thank goodness it was a $20 loss, instead of hundreds. Silverleaf Resorts is a scam!!!

For others who read this review, you don't have to buy anything to get out of there, just get up and leave. That's what I did this week and haven't heard back from them. You won't get your gifts, but trust me, they are not worth it.
If I had heard these words it would have spared me the loss of $800 to Silverleaf for a 5 day week at one of their resorts that has never happened. The words are "No, I've told you No for four hours and no means "NO!" Unfortunately, my no got weaker and weaker until I paid $80 that day and owed them 10 monthly payments of $72.00 after that.
I think that the embarrassment of being ripped off for $800 is what leads many people to keep paying them and receiving nothing in return.
Yes. I was duped, my time was wasted and I could have used that $800 to take a nice little trip somewhere else.
Why wouldn't you just walk out?
Did they hold a gun to your head or something?
I mean, these people ARE scam artists, here I was under the impression that it was common knowledge that time shares are horrible deals.
I'm all for being polite and everything, but there's a limit.
If you sent the cancellation (rescission, really) according to their instructions within the time allowed under state law, they HAVE TO give you a refund. I hope you kept proof!
Don't answer the phone if they call.
If they don't refund your money, alert the Attorney General in which the purchase was made. If you used a credit card, file a dispute to any charges with the credit card company.
The only way their business model works is to keep nice people hostage. Nasty people have no problem telling them to pound sand. What plan is this?
