Military Soldiers in San Antonio, TX beware this company prays on soldiers. When you PCS, what will you do with your timeshare?

They will boast you can resell it or use it at another location, but when you go overseas for 3 years you will be paying your monthly dues for nothing. DON‘T SIGN THE ARBITRATION STATEMENT. If violated some of your Rights are protected through the Court of law. But if you waive your Rights by signing that arbitration statement there is no going to court.

A personal friend of mine a 1st Lieutenant in the Army purchased a timeshare in Tyler, TX where the water park is located.

They told her that if she buys a timeshare at the Tyler location she will have free access to the water park year round. Sure enough when she went to spend her first weekend at the resort she had to pay just like everyone else.

Monetary Loss: $5100.

Timeshare Advocacy International Wins Lawsuit against World’s Largest Resort.

In November of 2010 TAI was sued by the largest timeshare developer in the world for assisting timeshare owners out of their contracts with their resort. The charges ranged from violating the Tennessee Uniformed Secrets Act, Tennessee Consumer Rights Act, unauthorized practice of law, intentional interference with business relationships, civil conspiracy, breach of contract, unfair competition, procurement of breach of contract, and unjust enrichment. On July 19, 2012 it took a jury less than 45 minutes to deliberate and return a verdict of “Not Guilty” on all charges.

“We are excited to finally have this decision behind us so we can now focus on one thing, and that is our clients. During the last 2 years they have been trying to do one thing and that is to shut us up and bankrupt us through the court system. We always felt that at the end of the day a jury would see that TAI is in the business to help people. If the timeshare industry would stop lying and sell their product honestly we would be out of business,” said Sean Austin.

“The jury’s verdict represents a victory for free speech and free enterprise, and against corporate bullying,” said Austin’s attorney, Greg Oakley of DHPM PC in a press release.

Timeshare Advocacy International is headquartered in Mount Juliet, TN and currently has a staff of 19 that do nothing but consult, coach, and mentor timeshare owners who have been deceived during their purchase or upgrade of their timeshares. “We specialize in helping timeshare owners not only get out of their timeshare contracts if they were lied to, but we also help them understand what happened and how they were scammed so this hopefully will not happen again!

Sandra,

A home and a timeshare are two different things especially a silverleaf timeshare. You can sell a house you can’t even give away a Silverleaf timeshare.

Investment commodity?? If Silverleaf timeshares are so hot why don’t you buy them back since you work at the Dallas office.

Any one reading comments on this website disregard anything written by Sandra she works for Silverleaf and is trying to make her company look better. She works in Dallas at the corporate headquarters. I think that’s a shame!!!!

That's a shame. They told us from the start that the water park was open to the public and that there was a fee.

Even if you are a club member with Schlitterbahn and stay at the resort you still pay a discounted price to get into the park. Also, about your comment about what to do with your timeshare when you get shipped overseas, I totally respect the sacrifice our military personnel make for us each and every day, but what do you do with your home when you travel abroad for assignment? Do you sell it, rent it out, etc? If you don't, you still pay a mortgage payment and/or have homeowners dues.

Also someone must cut the grass, do upkeep, cleaning, etc. Same applies here. It is your vacation home and you are not mowing the lawn, cleaning, etc. So someone else has to and nothing is free.

A time share is something you own that you can use, your family can use or you can lease out your week or sell it. It's an investment or commodity, nothing more, nothing less.
