On Sunday, June 24, 2012, two good MARRIED friends of mine who just happen to be *** went to Tyler for a Silverleaf Resort (Flint) presentation. They were dressed in business casual and much nicer than others there for the same presentation.

Arriving early and signing in they waited 3 hours, watching approx. 25 other families be taken back for their presentations and then leave with their free gift. Upon asking what was taking so long, they were told their information had been lost. After still more waiting and asking they were finally told that when their credit rating wasn't high enough to qualify to buy a timeshare.

That is a lie, unless Silverleaf requires credit rating higher than 724!! Mine is not that good but I bet they would see me and my spouse, but then again we are a heterosexual couple. Besides Silverleaf did not have the proper information to have run a credit check on this couple.

The ACLU (American Civil Liberity Union) would love this.

A married, home owning professional couple turned down based on lies suggesting their credit/income was sub-par when it really was because they are a non-traditional couple and not man and woman. I've been to Flint (TX) to the Silverleaf Resort and it sure didnt look worth the money other friends of mine have paid to buy into this same resort. Poo on you Silverleaf. Oh yeah and Ive been to the Silverleaf in Branson, MO.

It is no where as nice as the brochures and slides show it to look like.

Timeshare Advocacy International is the leader in timeshare contract resolutions!

If you have been a victim of deceptive sales practices during your purchase or upgrade of your timeshare we have the solution. We are the only advocacy group in the U.S. that focuses on deceptive sales practices within the timeshare industry that is accredited with the BBB .

Additionally, we are the only company to win in court against the biggest timeshare company in the U.S. Timeshare Advocacy International Wins Lawsuit against World’s Largest Resort.

In November of 2010 TAI was sued by the largest timeshare developer in the world for assisting timeshare owners out of their contracts with their resort. The charges ranged from violating the Tennessee Uniformed Secrets Act, Tennessee Consumer Rights Act, unauthorized practice of law, intentional interference with business relationships, civil conspiracy, breach of contract, unfair competition, procurement of breach of contract, and unjust enrichment. On July 19, 2012 it took a jury less than 45 minutes to deliberate and return a verdict of “Not Guilty” on all charges.

“We are excited to finally have this decision behind us so we can now focus on one thing, and that is our clients. During the last 2 years they have been trying to do one thing and that is to shut us up and bankrupt us through the court system. We always felt that at the end of the day a jury would see that TAI is in the business to help people. If the timeshare industry would stop lying and sell their product honestly we would be out of business,” said Sean Austin.

“The jury’s verdict represents a victory for free speech and free enterprise, and against corporate bullying,” said Austin’s attorney, Greg Oakley of DHPM PC in a press release.

Timeshare Advocacy International is headquartered in Mount Juliet, TN and currently has a staff of 19 that do nothing but consult, coach, and mentor timeshare owners who have been deceived during their purchase or upgrade of their timeshares. “We specialize in helping timeshare owners not only get out of their timeshare contracts if they were lied to, but we also help them understand what happened and how they were scammed so this hopefully will not happen again!

My girlfriend and I are a *** couple and we bought at silverleaf 6 months ago and have NO complaints. Just bc your friends have crappy credit is no reason to bash them.

Of course they wouldn't tell you that, no one wants other ppl to kno they have crappy credit. They are a profit company who doesnt care about your sexual preference just whether or not you can pay your bills on time.

By the way, our SALESWOMAN happened to be *** as well. Just saying.

visited this place for the first time 3rd weekend in June and the staff was rude when you turn down the offer to buy into the timeshare. All the gimmicks to get you there for a free gift is not a no-hassle environment.

The resort as not middle-upper class so if you're looking to invest in a property for low to slightly above low class then visit silverleaf. It's not worth the visit. They take your money upfront for you to get there - complete waste of time.

Don't fall into the trap!!!! not worth your time to spend 2 hours up there.
