We purchased our timeshare from Silverleaf Resorts in March 2008. This has been our experience with them so far.

We were told this purchase was NOT a timeshare, but a DEED and would “save us so much money”, “it is a great investment!”, and “we can sell it if we want to”. Sadly, they pressured us into purchasing this timeshare thru high pressure sales tactics. We’ve spent literally THOUSANDS and have YET to take one full week vacation thru them. (GREAT investment/sell if we want to??) Have you tried selling a timeshare lately??

It cannot be done!!! Had we been informed at closing that we could cancel within a certain timeframe, that would’ve happened, but as no surprise, they were quite vague on that information. Since then, we have contacted them numerous times in an attempt to sell it back to them and even tried to give it back!! They said they could not work with us.

They are now accusing us of hiring the services of an advocacy group without any proof of this accusation. In short, Silverleaf has not been truthful, but is more concerned about making a profit rather than meeting the needs of their customers.

-Very unsatisfied customers, Stephen and Erica Emery

Monetary Loss: $30000.

It's not the resorts fault you have chosen to never utilize the package you bought. Do you have useful information? Like, you actually booked a vaca with them and it went horribly wrong?
